A handsome plant with attractive foliage. Blooms in the fall, helping to extend the season for pollinators. Attracts bees, butterflies and beetles. Seeds are eaten by indigo buntings, goldfinches and swamp sparrows. Pairs well with asters and Eupatoriums. Adaptable and thrives in slightly wetter soils. Many people think goldenrods are to blame for seasonal allergies, but that’s a myth! Goldenrods have sticky pollen that is transported by insects and cannot go airborne, so don’t miss out on these important fall-bloomers.
