Spikes of white flowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds and bees in the spring. An important forage plant for bumble bees. Larval host plant for the Clouded Sulphur Butterfly (Colias philodice), Genista Broom Moth (Uresiphita reversalis) and Black-Spotted Prominent Moth (Dasylophus anguina). The foliage makes for an attractive plant even when not in bloom, and the seed pods continue to add interest long after blooms have faded. These long-lived plants are slow-growing but worth the wait! 1-year-old plants
