Crinum americanum (American Crinum Lily), St. Tammany Parish

Showy, fragrant white flowers are a show-stopper in the garden. Performs well in moist garden soils and can grow in standing water up to 6″ deep. Submerged portions of the plant provide habitat for small invertebrates, which in turn feed fish.
